Taking Care of a Sick Puppy House Sitting France

House Sitting Lifestyle Magazine

As international house sitters and modern nomads we never have a dull moment in our day, especially on house sitting jobs taking care of a large property in south-west France and animal sitting three very large dogs.

To our absolute surprise, but not delight, we awoke one morning on our house sit to a literally half a kitchen floor of vomit and dirrahoea. Unsure of which of the three dogs it was, we served up breakfast. It did not take too long to realise it was our ‘little’ 50kg Bernese Mountain Dog, Byron who normally gulps down his food then licks everyone else’s bowls clean.

Yep Byron was literally as ‘sick as a dog!’

It seems poor Byron had picked up some sort of virus and he was doing everything in his power to get it out of his system as quickly as possible.

So off to the vet we took him after hours of non-stop vomiting and diarrahoea for some shots in the butt.

For a large dog that was normally full of beans he had been hit hard. We shot this video in the afternoon on the lawn at our house sitting property with a very poorly puppy.

Oh the joys of house sitting jobs!
